Story Development Session
Why is story development so important? It is a critical step to take before you create a video for your business.
The aim of the video is to show your audience how valuable your business is to your clients. They need to see that you are the best in the world at what you do. You need to show them that you are the best solution to their problem and that you are the only real option for them. The best way to do this is to get very clear on your business and your story. You need your message clear and your story crafted to engage your audience on an emotional level.
Purpose. This is where we go really deep into the why behind your business. We figure out exactly what makes your business inspiring and different. We figure out who is the ideal audience for your business and how do you want that audience to feel. How can we connect you emotionally to your audience? Lastly, we want to determine what we want the audience to do. The call to action, what action do we want them to take after watching your video?
Stage no. 2 is building a character out of your business. This is where we take everything we’ve learned in stage one and craft a character for your business. We make your business more human and relatable. People love a business that they can relate to and feel like they are part of a community. This ensures that they form an emotional connection with who you are as a business.
Visuals. People believe what they see, that is something that I firmly believe. For example, if I said to you that I have a phone in my hand, would you trust me and take my word for it? You may or may not believe me. However, if I said to you that I have a phone in my hand and showed you a picture of that phone in my hand, then you would believe me without a doubt. This is the same concept with visuals. We show the story of your company and it builds trust and credibility in your message. We go back to the purpose and Identify key visuals that we need to effectively communicate your story to get the best results.
Stage 4 is story structure. This is where we go behind the scenes and take the information we’ve gathered to carefully construct a story structure that will effectively bring your message across. Each story is carefully designed to deliver the best results for each client. We use a desire, conflict, journey, solution structure to form the story.
Doing this Story Development Session before creating your video will result in a high quality, highly effective product that will achieve and capture what it was intended to capture. One of the most important people to show this video too is your team. This story is a great way to inspire your staff and get them to believe in the product or service that you are selling.
