Summary

More than ever it’s important to get clear on your message as a business.

Here’s how to get clear on your message:
1. Get clear on who your client is
2. Their Problem
3. Their desire
4. How your solution solves their problem and brings them closer to their desire.

Here’s a fresh story for the fantastic team over at Forrest Small Homes.

Like all our interstate clients, James and his lovely wife, Shelley travelled from Sydney to go through our Story Development Process.

Our clients always tell us how much they benefit by removing themselves from the day to day operations and come into our space to think big picture and get clear on their vision, message and story.

There is absolutely no way you can just ‘quickly’ throw together your message while in the busyness of your life and business. It needs your focus and care to dig deep and find your message. We help our clients do just that.

You see, getting clear on your vision, message and story is an investment for your longterm business success.

Your message should get the attention of your ideal customer and talk directly to their problems and desires.

More than anything, they need to ‘feel’ something when they consume your story.

That is what we call a strong message & story.

Home to me is it’s shelter and there’s gotta be some meaning in it, something that expresses what’s important to you.

We have it very clearly in our minds that we want to build amazing small homes for people that are a little bit different. We think that it’s about just getting started. My wife and I, we wanted to create a family. At the time, didn’t have access to a home or a way of getting in.

We spent eight years, so we’re looking for the right house and a building phone really grown out of my desire to see more people in homes that wouldn’t be otherwise. For a long time, people have believed it, bespoked is on, was only available to those with huge budgets or told the kind of harms they are going to have to live in.

Whereas we’re making that bespoke design accessible at an entry level. That’s where our story home concept is really critical. Which is a product designed to extract your values, your fresh ideas, the way you want to live, and to package that up in a way that’s affordable for you and gives you chances that you didn’t know where there. Getting you into in as early as we can. That’s how far as we’ve grown out of our structural engineering company. So people have really enjoyed that in the past.

The fact that things are very clear, very well organised and very well explained. There’s expensive ways to build things and economical ways to build things because we’ve got an incorporated engineering firm in conjunction with everything we do, we can design things so that they’re more economical to build. It’s the guys on the ground that make the biggest impact. What I love about our culture is that there’s a culture of responsibility.

They often go the extra mile to make sure there aren’t gaps throughout our process. The benefit of that is a high quality product. We’ll give people a Gantt chart so they know what’s happening when they get an app to download and they can have that one on one personal communication with our site controller and our project manager. They finish the process with a big value and in a way that they need it.

Along that journey, clients have loved the fact that they felt heard and that they’re going to get something that really meets their needs that understand this stage in life. Because every stage in life has different needs. We want to stop and listen. To really exactly what about this home process is going to facilitate the way you want to live. It’s going to be a reflection of your value. How can this home be what you want it to be?
