Camera Shy?

If you are not used to being in front of a camera or maybe you are used to it like I am, you still get nervous. Every time I look down the barrel, I get this feeling in my stomach. The nerves start to creep in.

This is what our clients experience when we show up and put a camera in their face. It can be uncomfortable and confronting sometimes. I have found a way to help overcome the feeling of being nervous.

It doesn’t mean that the feeling will go away, but it does mean you have a strategy to combat it. When you can overcome that feeling, the message that you deliver is way more effective and clear.

Sold On Your Business, Product/Service and yourself.

The best piece of advice that I can give to you,  is to get completely sold on your product or service.

You need to be so convicted in your business and your ability to deliver your product and service. If you wouldn’t do business with your own company then that will come across in the way you sell to your customers. You need to be sold out for your company.

When you are in that moment, in front of the camera and the nerves start to kick in, think about how awesome your business is and how it can help so many people. This is what will overcome the nerves and help you deliver a killer video.

How Do You Get Convicted?

Here are a couple tips for you to become completely sold on your business.

The first one is to understand exactly how you are helping your customers. How is your product getting them results, solving their problems, helping them achieve their goals?

When you can see the value that your business provides your customers, it makes it easier to believe in what you do.

You need to look at some testimonials from your clients and really understand how you have helped them. This will help you to become sold out.

The second tip is to go back to your purpose. Go back to your story and the reason that you are where you are today.

Why do you wake up every morning? What is the reason that you started your business in the first place? When you start to think about the journey that you’ve come on and what you have achieved, it gives confidence and builds conviction in what you do.

Your story is what makes your company unique. It is what will make you stand out from your competition. Using this as a tool to get passionate and convicted in your business is a great way to become fully sold out.
