Most of our clients want us to do more than just produce their business videos.  They also want to know how to make sure it gets seen.

I usually suggest that they use a Video Remarketing Campaign to pick the low hanging fruit first.

What is Video Remarketing?

Remarketing is a surprisingly simple concept.

All you do at the remarketing stage is install a Facebook and YouTube pixel on your website. That way, everyone who visits it will be pixeled and placed on a ‘invisible’ list.

That is, they’ll automatically be added to a Facebook and YouTube list that will allow you to market to them directly and create ads targeted specifically to them.

After they’ve been pixeled, they’ll see your brand new video as soon as they visit Facebook or YouTube.

This method is effective because you’re not targeting a cold audience who isn’t familiar with your company. Because they’ve already been to your website before seeing your video ad, they’re already semi-warm.

Basically, you’re just reminding your existing audience about your business or offering. It’s an easy, simple, but effective way of using video to show your customers why you do what you do and how your business can help them.

Narrow your target for a better return

One of the greatest advantages to a remarketing campaign–especially those done through Facebook–is that you can narrow your target market more than you could otherwise.

Instead of targeting a general audience, you can narrow down your audience by age, gender, preferences, occupation, and location. This allows you to only advertise to people who are likely to buy your product, so you don’t inflate your marketing budget and waste your money.


For example, if you’re a business only offering services on the Gold Coast, you want to focus your marketing efforts on the local residents. Spending money on ads that just end up being viewed by people based in Perth is not the best use of your resources.

It’s a very simple way to pick the low hanging fruit first: directly target your relevant customer base.

Run ads to a Cold Audience

Once you set up your remarketing campaign, consider creating a Video Ad Campaign to target a specific cold audience that you think would find your business appealing.

But before you jump to creating any other video ads, start things off with a remarketing campaign.
